Perched within The Shard, the tallest building in the United Kingdom and a defining feature of the London skyline, the setting created the perfect stage for a bridal look that evolved beautifully throughout the day.
For this unforgettable celebration planned to perfection by Daisy Amodio, our UK Directors Bethany and Sarah were asked to design a series of bridal beauty looks for Emily Pearl that felt effortless, elegant, and completely timeless, perfectly complementing the bride’s exquisite gowns by Sally Bean and the refined atmosphere of the venue.
A Classic Bridal Beginning
The morning began with a look that was all about understated elegance. Bethany and Sarah created a smooth, sculpted up-style that framed the bride’s face beautifully while keeping the overall look polished and refined for the ceremony. The hair was designed to feel structured, sleek through the crown with gentle volume and delicate texture through the back. This timeless bridal updo allowed the bride’s dress neckline and jewellery to shine while maintaining a classic silhouette that photographed effortlessly against the dramatic skyline beyond the windows.
Makeup for the ceremony focused on soft glamouR, radiant skin, subtly defined eyes, and a perfectly balanced lip tone that enhanced the bride’s natural beauty. The goal was a look that felt sophisticated and elevated while remaining completely wearable and authentic.
A Soft Glam Transition
As the celebration moved from ceremony to reception, the beauty look evolved. Bethany and Sarah refreshed the makeup slightly to create a soft glam finish, adding a little more depth through the eyes and warmth to the complexion. The result was still elegant and bridal, but with a touch more definition to carry the bride seamlessly into the evening celebrations. The hairstyle remained in its elegant upstyle at this stage, ensuring the look still felt formal and polished for the early part of the reception and the stunning portrait moments captured against the London skyline.

The makeup was also adjusted to match the mood of the evening. The team added a slightly more matte finish, strengthening the eye definition and giving the overall look a little more intensity, perfect for an evening of celebration, laughter, and dancing high above the city lights.
